My English can be seen to be very good. The internet is littered with articles I wrote for payment. I wrote hundreds about finance: commodities, company shares, industries, spread betting techniques, forex, tax, market indexes, and general news. An example can be seen at http://financialinteractive.com/forex/how-to-choose-the-best-forex-trading-technique. I also tackled other subjects that included healthcare, travel, real estate, and autos. Some subjects were unusual—the worst assignment I ever received was to write 500 words about disposable mattress covers.
For more than two years, I wrote one article of around 500 words a week about UFOs (the website is no more) and environmental matters (http://www.sustainablebusinesstoolkit.com/author/timothy-chilman). I still write about cannabis (http://www.newsthc.com/author/timothy-chilman/). I wrote 53 longer articles which once appeared at a conspiracy theories website but can now be seen at http://independent.academia.edu/TimothyChilman/Papers. The first three demonstrate my proofreading skills, while the fourth contains articles I wrote years ago when these skills were less well-developed.
When writing, I had many good ideas: Writing of spread betting, I spoke of how a French court declared poker to be a game of skill, astrological advice for share trading, and how to get a mortgage when one's income comes from spread betting. Writing of the environment, I talked about how sperm quality in China is decreasing due to pollution, how tomatoes cause B.O., and how people could be persuaded to eat insects.
I have often proofread for payment. When proofreading, I like to provide explanations for changes. I completed a course in proofreading from the Writers Bureau. I proofread voluntarily for two organizations and also at the proofreading section of Reddit. The amount of writing and proofreading I undertake voluntarily demonstrates my passion for these fields.
